The FFARIQ Podcasts: Between the Heart and a Strained System
Choosing to become a foster family is a matter of the heart. Behind every family that takes in children from the DPJ—children carrying a heavy emotional burden—there are people who open their hearts. A foster family doesn’t count the time spent caring for, reassuring, and comforting these children. A foster family is there, every minute, day and night, to support these children in their search for safety, stability, and love.
But in a strained system, this heartfelt mission of foster families is becoming increasingly difficult to fulfill. Inconsistencies, inequalities, and injustices arise from this crumbling system… and they have consequences for the children’s well-being.
In this podcast series, we shed light on little-known aspects of the reality faced by some foster families.
Supporting our foster families means ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has an equal chance to grow, develop, and find their place in society.
