OUR MISSION
As the only organization dedicated exclusively to defending and supporting Quebec’s foster families, our mission is clear and precise: The FFARIQ is committed to defend and uphold the rights and interests of its resources while ensuring the improvement of their work conditions.
It is a dual mission, because defending the rights and interests of host families before the institutions is one thing and improving their work conditions is another. On the other hand, these two poles converge, because often the discomforts experienced by the host families are due to inappropriate regulations.
OUR VALUES
Since the host families are made up of people with deeply human values, whose compassion goes to the daily and unwavering commitment, the values of the FFARIQ could only be inspired by them. Because our foster families are simply inspiring…
These values, gathered under five broad themes, are the values we keep alive in all areas of caring, from the care of the children we protect to the services we provide to the families we support.

People of projects, we search and analyze information. People of vision, we are on the lookout of new trends, all those that can have a positive impact on our activities
OUR IDENTITY
The FFARIQ logo represents the kindness of the adult towards the child he took under his wing. Its colours are soft, warm, as enveloping as our host families are every day. To this logo is added a statement that reflects our historical role: to offer defense, benevolence and support in 100% human mode, to all host families who are members of our federation.
Defend their rights, whether to settle disputes or to improve their exercise conditions;
Caring for them, because they deserve to be as protected as the children they protect;
Day-to-day support to ensure that all needs are met;
In 100% human mode because all the people who work at the FFARIQ are full of understanding, empathy and even gentleness, mainly most of them are foster families themselves.
This identity reflects who we are: a union, of course, but also a large family who works on a daily basis to improve the exercise conditions of host families, whatever their category, regardless of the region in which they are located.
