COMMON FRONT for better conditions of the services provided by the IR-FTR

SUBJECT : COMMON FRONT in view to the next collective agreement renewal negotiation period.

In the recent months, discussions have taken place between the following associations: FFARIQ, RESSAQ, ADRAQ as well as SCFP in order to organize a COMMON FRONT.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the beginning of the talks to form a COMMON FRONT of all the resources that are covered by the Act respecting the representation of resources. Preliminary meetings were held between SCFP, RESSAQ and FFARIQ. An official invitation has been sent to CSN, ADRAQ-CSD (adults) as well as ADREQ-CSD (child care) where we hope for a positive response in the coming weeks.

We continue to raise awareness with other associations to put aside our differences. It is more important to put our energies as well as our experiences to the benefit of our members. « Our real opponent is the CPNSSS ». For too long now, the public institutions have benefited from our division and it is now time to rally all Quebec associations for a common purpose.

We have already started working sessions to lay the groundwork for a protocol for the running of the COMMON FRONT. Until now, the exchanges are very promising and are done with respect. We hope to present you with a list of union demands by the end of this year and we can already tell you that the classification tool will be part of this work! Rest assured that you will be consulted in the development of this list of claims and we invite you to start working on it now.

CAUTION : You will agree with us that the formation of this COMMON FRONT « disturbs » the Minister of Health and Social services. We have already heard of detractors who wish to have our process aborted. To avoid any doubt, we confirm that the signatories hereby have signed a « no-raiding » agreement that states that we undertake not to solicit the members of the other participating associations of the COMMON FRONT.
