Laurent Commission : And after?
As part of the creation of Santé Québec, there must now be a single representative association of child foster families for the entire Montreal health and social services region. The TAH therefore verified the representativeness of FFARIQ and ADREQ (CSD) for the resource group concerned in this region. As a result, foster families in the Montreal region are now represented by a single union, FFARIQ.

We are aware that this decision is bringing different emotions to foster families in the region: sadness and insecurity for some, and joy for a good majority. Our team is working to make this transition as smooth and harmonious as possible.
As a result, the collective agreement applicable to all resources in the Montreal health and social services region is now that of the FFARIQ. This agreement can be consulted at https://ffariq.org/en/member/collective-agreement . In addition, FFARIQ becomes a party to all ongoing proceedings, in place and stead of ADREQ (CSD) Montréal, notably in cases of disagreement and necessary follow-up.
From February 16 to 20, FFARIQ will be meeting with foster families in the Montreal area to get to know them and send them, in person or online, a welcome kit containing everything they need to guide them through this transition.
Foster families are essential, and their commitment to children makes all the difference. FFARIQ is not only the association representing the largest number of foster families in Quebec, it's also the ONLY association dedicated ONLY to foster families.
FFARIQ is there for you and your children.
